OUR CLUB
Our story begins way back in 1926, when the club first opened its doors as a brand-new village reading room, replacing the old one that had become a bit too snug for our growing community.

But we didn’t stop at books! Over the years, the club has grown along with the village.
We added a bowling green for a bit of friendly competition and later expanded the building to include a snooker and games room – perfect for socialising, relaxing, and showing off those cue skills.
Waddington Village Club is proud to be a member of The Friendly Society – a name that truly reflects our spirit.
We’re run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers, elected each year by our members.
As a non-profit organisation, every penny goes back into the club and the amazing local groups that use it.

Our match standard pool table is the perfect spot.

We have 2 teams registered in the Clitheroe & District Pool League. Both teams competing in the Premier Division of a 3-tiered league with the A team recently winning the Phil McQuade Memorial team KO Cup and finishing runners up for 2 consecutive seasons.
The team also has 5 players representing Lancashire County Pool at a National level.
The B team have had recent success in winning both the 1st Division, and the Masters Team KO Cup in 2024.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just fancy a casual game, our full-size snooker table is ready for you.
Join in with our league team for some friendly competition or simply enjoy a relaxed practice session with friends.

The club has a prestigious history in Clitheroe league with numerous titles over the last 50 years. The table has hosted countless KO Finals and is regarded as one of the best tables around.
